Suffolk County Dems Launch “DebWontPay.com,” “NotGiannott.com” and “QuizLizToday.com”
The Suffolk County Democratic Committee today launched websites dedicated to telling the truth about 16th Legislative District Republican Candidate Deborah Poulos, 7th Legislative District Republican Candidate John Giannott and 18th Legislative District Republican Candidate and school board bureaucrat Elizabeth Black. Rich Schaffer, Chairman of the Suffolk County Democratic Committee, announced “DebWontPay.com,” “NotGiannott.com” and “QuizLizToday.com” in a conference call with reporters.
“Deborah Poulos has had tens of thousands in federal and state tax liens filed against her over the years totaling nearly $45,000,” said Schaffer. “Now she wants to be in charge of the county budget. Considering our financial situation, this type of personal fiscal irresponsibility would be detrimental to Suffolk County.”
“John Giannott talks a lot about cutting spending and fiscal responsibility, but how can someone that cannot even keep track of his own finances be trusted to have any say over the county budget?” asked Schaffer. “Giannott’s various businesses have had thousands of dollars of tax liens filed against them and Giannott hid threetimes while process servers tried to serve him papers for failing to honor a $22,000 loan from the Teachers Credit Union. This is not the type of person that should be making decisions that will impact the finances of people in Patchogue and throughout Suffolk County.”
“Who voted for numerous tax increases as a member of the Huntington School Board?” Schaffer continued. “Who voted to raise the school budget time and time again? I’ll give you the answer – Elizabeth Black. As a school board bureaucrat, Elizabeth Black voted to close down Jack Abrams intermediate school and voted against a school budget that would have restored critical funding. Who don’t Huntington residents want representing them in County government? Elizabeth Black.”
